2008 Manitoba Sports Hall of
Fame Central Region Induction
The Central Region and the City of
Portage la Prairie proudly hosted
the second Regional Induction
Ceremonies of the Manitoba
Sports Hall of Fame & Museum on
Saturday, April 26th, 2008 in the
Portage Curling Club and the Canad
Inns Portage la Prairie. Approx. 500
people came out to celebrate the ten
individuals and two teams selected
for induction by a committee of
local expertise chaired by Ed Gilroy.
Thanks go out to Gilroy and his
Committee for doing an outstanding
job in choosing those to be honoured
for their sporting achievements.
